Hessian Rice Sack

Wakefield Print

Every Saturday, Brighton hosts an outdoor antiques market offering a mixture of furniture, haberdashery, vintage and the inevitable junk. After wondering through the packed North Lanes, I came across a stall filled with printed coffee and rice sacks and saw this little West Yorkshire gem priced at £2.
There’s lots of upcycled hessian creations around including bags, cushion covers and mini rugs, but I’m looking to do something a little more unusual with mine. The ‘Wakefield’ print is what really attracted me, so I’m wanting to maintain it’s integrity and am thinking along the lines of large scale wall art. What do you think?

If you have any great ideas or DIY suggestions, just let me know!
